TEAM CAMEROON UPDATES PREPARATIONS AHEAD OF THE TOKYO 2020 OLYMPIC GAMES.

This Tuesday 20th October 2020, the president of the Cameroon National Olympic and Sports Committee, Hamad KALKABA MALBOUM presided over a meeting in line with the preparation of Team Cameroon for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games scheduled for next year.

 

In the course of the meeting, presidents of the sports federations, whose athletes have qualified and or are in the process of qualifying for the Olympic Games, gave updates on their level of preparedness.

From these exchanges it is worth mentioning that so far, Cameroon is in the process of qualifying 18 athletes in; boxing, weightlifting, judo, karate, wrestling, table tennis and athletics .Meanwhile, the female football team is still in the qualification process.

President KALKABA equally, emphasized on the need for the creation of a training center for athletes, as well as the solidarity that should exist within the Olympic and Sports movements.

Almost one year to go for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games, Team Cameroon will intensify preparations towards the sports jamboree, while counting on the unflinching support of the Cameroon National Olympic and Sports Committee.
