The CNOSC celebrates the women’s rights

“I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights” it is under this theme that the women worldwide celebrated the 35th edition of the International Women’s Day.

To mark this year’s celebration, the ladies of the Cameroon National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSC) decided to honor this theme by organizing a round table which had as main objective, edifying the women and even the men of the institution on “succession rights” of women.

The woman as a girl and the woman as wife has the right and possibility to inherit from either her father or from her husband. Most at times, these women do not know what to do once they find themselves in this situation and they found their rights being violated because of ignorance. This them was chosen to enlighten women on their rights and give them clues to fight for these rights for a more just and equal society.

Upon holding discussions, the ladies of the CNOSC equally engaged in sports activities by joining the national sports walk which was organized by the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family. A walk to mark the effective kickoff of the 2020 activities of the women’s day celebration in Cameroon.

Power to the women and may this day continue to serve as an edifying day for them as they must know and defend their rights and fight for what rightfully belongs to them.
